Ms. Blumenfeld began practicing law in 1998. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, in St. Mary’s City, Maryland in 1994. Ms. Blumenfeld attended the University of Baltimore School of Law in Baltimore. While pursuing her studies, Ms. Blumenfeld was temporarily admitted to practice under the Maryland Rules in order to represent indigent defendants as a Student Attorney in the Baltimore County Office of the Public Defender. In 1997, Ms. Blumenfeld graduated from law school cum laude and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable M. Brooke Murdock in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
In February, 2001, Ms. Blumenfeld was selected to serve as Hearing officer for the Baltimore City Civil Service Commission. In this position, Ms. Blumenfeld presides over termination hearings and makes recommendations to the Civil Service Commission to uphold the termination or reinstate discharged Baltimore City employees.
Ms. Blumenfeld’s practice concentrates in general civil litigation, insurance defense, and criminal matters. She has tried cases in both the circuit and district level courts in the state and argued before the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.
