Profile:

Ms. Owens began practicing law in 2002.  She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Dramatic Arts from St. Mary's College of Maryland, in St. Mary's City, Maryland in 1994.  Ms. Owens attended the University of Baltimore School of Law in Baltimore.  While pursuing her studies, Ms. Owens was selected to serve as a staff member of the University of Baltimore Law Review and received the award from the Best Write-on Competition Submission.  Ms. Owens authored  Maryland's Common Law Right to Resist Unlawful Arrest:  Does It Really Exist? 30 U. Balt. L. Rev. 213 (2000).  After graduating from law school in 2001, Ms. Owens served as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Norris Byrnes in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.

Ms. Owens practice consists of general civil litigation and insurance defense.
