Mr. Meis began practicing law in 2003.  He graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1999.  Mr. Meis attended the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  While pursuing his studies, Mr. Meis was an executive editor of the Michigan Journal of Law Reform and the recipient of the Certificate of Merit Award for remedies.  After graduating from law school, Mr. Meis served as a staff attorney for the Fifth Judicial District of the State of Iowa and subsequently served as a staff attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
